Camera of week 25 – Taron 35 III

Taron 35 III or Taron MX is a compact 35mm rangefinder made by Nippon Kōsokki, production started at 1958.  This camera like some previous “Camera of week” cameras features coupled rangefinder. Lens is Taronar F.C. 45mm/f1.9 or on some cheaper models Taronar C 45mm/f2.8, both have 10 diaphragm blades, making 10 pointed sunstars. Available shutter speeds on lens are from 1 second to 1/500th of second + Bulb mode. Camera offers X and M flash sync modes.

Price: Price is very low and as camera is unpopular bidding won’t go high on ebay. So expect to pay close to starting price. Right now there is one for $25 including case and booklet – http://www.ebay.com/itm/TARON-MX-III-3-RARE-VINTAGE-35MM-FILM-CAMERA-CASE-BOOK-VERY-CLEAN-MFR-KOGYO-/360475459908?pt=Film_Cameras&hash=item53ee030144#ht_500wt_1413
